  1. I normally will put a whole month travel and prepaid top up expenses in tng e-wallet. Now this is something really amazing for me

  2. Excellent video, you get all the points right: 1) Earn something for your wallet balance always better than nothing. 2) cannot compare to FD or even stashaway/Versa as Go+ has extremely high liquidity. 3) “GO+ supports wallet payments automatically” is very cool feature 4) Risk for GO+ is very low due to Money market fund nature. 5) Ability to transfer to bank the next day is very good to have.

Malaysia e-wallet competition just moved up one level with Go+ launch. And TNGD is leading so far.

    1. Thanks a lot Xiang Ni, guess we have the same thoughts about this!

Yep, really excited to see whats to come in the e-wallet space moving forward 🙂

  3. It will take some time to gather enough money to buy a set of KFC meal from the earnings but I love the concept. You don’t have to wait for the maturity date to withdraw the money like fixed deposit.

    1. Yep exactly. Especially with the assumption that Malaysians dont really put a load of money into their e-wallets.

Still better than nothing! The KFC will come 1 day hahha

    2. @Millennial Finance actually the maximum amount you can invest is also below 10 k for Touch N Go. It’s not too much for certain people who has a lot of cash. I think it’s worth it , it’s just to park your cash at different channels. The good thing is I am able to earn profit 7 days a week including public holidays. A lot of investments only generate income on weekdays.

    3. @Wai Yee Ng Thats true. Probably need to count the benefits of daily compounding and see the effective annual returns for these!

  4. Great analysis of the new product as always. Its also important to highlight that tng go+ is not syariah complient. These are points that can be highlighted for the larger muslim community that in no doubt would be the targetted market. As it pertains to ensuring that our income is halal and clean as we do with our food. Hope they can make it syariah complient.

    1. Yep missed out on this, but very good point. Honestly very surprised that they decided to go for a non shariah compliant fund when as you said the majority of their customers will be Muslim.

Let’s hope this changes really soon!

    2. thank you.. great explanation. and shariah part is really important for muslim. thank you brother

    3. i am newbie on investment line. can i know which platform is shariah from all your video sir. honestly i dont really undertstand all the term although i ve studied

    1. Hey bro, you’re right about that and just realised. A bit weird considering their main target will be Malays so hopefully this changes soon

  5. Hi,I am really interested in using robo advisor etc. But the problem is I’m underage,so what do i do? Do i just keep my money into my savings account and invest it when i am 18 or how?

    1. Hey, its really awesome how you’re already interested in investing even at such a young age.

I recommend you do what you just said, being save up as much as you can while studying up about investing.

As soon as you turn 18, start investing that money and you’ll be set for retirement!

    2. @Millennial Finance thank you for replying! I really appreciate it, because i am really confused with the current situation in investing.

  6. Thanks for the video.. I heard they were launching it but didnt know it was already started. I just signed up. Good job for keeping us up to date, keep it up!

  7. one of the thing that i really look forward from TNG e-wallet is to be able to top up our tng card through the app itself without physically going to petrol station/7-eleven. hassle free and contactless. for now can check balance je huhu.

    1. I think if there is money in your e-wallet , and your card have insufficient money , they will deduct money from your e-wallet

    2. @Jun _ they will deduct from your e-wallet regardless if your card has money, but only for certain tolls!

    3. The main reason why we cant reload the tng card is because our tng card got this tiny chip inside, where this technology requires a physical touch to a terminal in order to reload, whereby ewallet is an apps, a software.. so in order to transfer money to tng card, is TnG need to uphrade their cards

    4. @Jun _ when u link ur card to ewallet it will activate a system called PayDirect, whereby when u pass an open system toll, the charges will be charge to your ewallet first, but if ur ewallet is insufficient, then only it will be charge to ur card balance. For complete list of PayDirect tolls, launch ur ewallet apps – toll – PayDirect – supported highway.

    5. @hafiz annies yeah was thinking it couldn’t have been so easy otherwise they wouldve done it. Awesome explanation man

  8. Is GO+ really liquid, because when you spent on your toll (as per your example in the video), then you’re actually not using your e-cash in GO+ account, but rather you’re using the e-cash in e-wallet account by topping up another RM2.50 for the toll. Is that right?

    1. They are treated as if they are 1 balance, so money in the GO+ will be debited and reflected in the main ewallet account.

    2. Nope, its transferring from my Go+ account to my e-wallet balance to pay for the toll. Its not topping up from my bank or credit card 🙂

    3. @Millennial Finance The reason is, upon upgrading to Go+, if u remember correctly, when u tick I accept the tnc’s, 1 of the tnc is by default, Go+ would be the Quick Payment option

  9. Would like to see a video explaining on FSMOne and what are the differences compare to Rakuten Trade :p

  10. At first I was excited but after reading how it’s calculated, I don’t think that it’s that great as an investment because you’ll use the money after all. Like he said, it’s very liquid (if you use it lah, i do). However, being able to transfer your money back to your bank account is such a great feature.

    1. Yep think its not a great investment but its a nice to have if you’re using the TNG wallet anyway haha

  11. Interest is not I think of when Go+ added to the app, but earning cash back from Credit card used to top up the e-Wallet and able to cash out from Go+ fund is bringing more value $$$

  12. I started invest in since they launch Go+… I just deposit 200 every month and watch them grow 😊
