Am I the only one relieved that they’re not going the Tesla route like they did with the S and C class?
That’s because this is an elaborate refresh not a redesign. The 2023 E class redesign will certainly go the route of the latest S and C class.
Let’s face it. The e class is the true Mercedes flagship, and if they mess with that recipe including to discontinue the wagon, they will lose a whole lot of customers.

Thank you, Mercedes for putting the Mercedes logo where it should be; on the hood I nstead of that hideous grill mounted monstrosity. Now bring back a normally aspirated V-8 like my 2011 E550.
Unfortunately, in my country, Mercedes Benz Thailand just decided to sale only the 2021 models with immersed logo in the grill😩😩😢
@Grisnarong Wongbandue Same thing for the USA too. Glad I bought a 2020 model with hood ornament / emblem. I guess we will have to make/save more money for a S class in the future!

This is the first VDO in many years to say ” My favorite is the star on the bonnet”.
It’s my favorite too. If the Benz haven’t got the star on the bonnet, they look like the ordinary cars.
Seeing the star on the bonnet in the driver’s position is a privilege for the Benz owners.
The E-Class has lost its power and expressiveness. It looks like a C-Class in reality. However, I would now clearly choose the Exclusive Line. Best wishes from an avantgarde E400D 4M-Vor-Mopf-driver.

The interior of any Benz is always BEAUTIFUL. Your wallet is ALWAYS got broken with A BIG HOLE. I still like/love E_Class very much. More than the S.
I am 82, driving since 15. I love to drive long distances: London to Sweden, Malta, Turkey and Spain. I bought my first Mercedes in 1962 and the last I sold in 1992. They were the Ultimate Driving Machines. The dumbest thing they did was to buy Chrysler. Mercedes had all their parts made by Mercedes. The quality control was absolute, alas, no more. Now they are just cars. Now all cars are just cars.
The exterior look of the previous model is definitely much better
